According to the Public Relations Office of Kaveh Tikmedash Steel Industries, following the appointment of Dr. Naqi-Zahi as the Director General of the Provincial Department of Economic and Financial Affairs, the Deputy CEO of Kaveh Tikmedash Steel Industries met with the newly appointed director at the department’s headquarters.

During the meeting, Engineer Hassan Bakhshi, while congratulating Dr. Naqi-Zahi on his appointment, highlighted key challenges facing the steel industry — including the handling of tax cases for companies with foreign investments, delays in processing requests and bureaucratic procedures, unprofessional price setting in the commodity exchange, and severe restrictions regarding foreign exchange commitments. He called for active engagement from the new director to address these issues.

Emphasizing the need for managers to focus on removing existing barriers, Engineer Bakhshi added:

“The current economic conditions and existing obstacles are the main reasons investors refrain from launching new development projects. If this situation continues, job creation through investment attraction will be seriously disrupted.”

In response, Dr. Naqi-Zahi acknowledged the raised issues and emphasized the importance of facilitating export processes as one of the key paths toward generating foreign currency and boosting the national economy. He stated that both short-term and long-term programs have been planned by the department to overcome these challenges and to support active private-sector enterprises.

He added:

“I consider industries the driving engine of the province’s economy. Maintaining consistent communication with industrial leaders and acting promptly to resolve their challenges are my top priorities. For this reason, I suggested that the introduction and handover ceremony be held at the Chamber of Commerce to make it a platform for dialogue with industrialists and business leaders.”

It is worth noting that Dr. Sharaf-Shahi, CEO of Kaveh Tikmedash Specialized Industrial Town, and Engineer Qolipour, Deputy of Finance and Administration, accompanied the Deputy CEO during the meeting with Dr. Naqi-Zahi.
